When there’s a new brow product on the market, I will probably be the first to try it. The Dior Powder Eyebrow Pencil ($33 CAD) promises longwear and a natural look. Will this one make holy grail status?
These pencils come in 6 six shades ranging from warm light blondes to neutral black. The formula is light, non-waxy with a powder finish. It reminds me of the MAC Veluxe Brow Pencil only it isn’t as creamy (and it lasts longer!)
Each brush has a really nice, high-quality spoolie on the end.
And inside each box is a nice Dior pencil sharpener.
Let’s take a look at those shades…
These are smooth, surprisingly pigmented and they stay put. As you can see all of them are on the warm side except for Black. Ash Blonde is almost a neutral light brown with a hint of warmth, and it works perfect for me.
Here I’ve used Soft Brown just to define the bottom and Ash Blonde to fill in the entire brow. This pencil is a really natural and easy way to build up my brows from nothing and I haven’t had any “wipe off” accidents during the day since it dries down fairly matte.
And I also love that I can build the colour up a bit to darken my brows. Here I’ve used only Ash Blonde and applied it heavily. This is probably one of the first times I haven’t had to struggle creating a brow shape and achieving the look I want.
Holy grail status? Heck yea!
